Heritage Villa Renewal

Brief

The owners loved their older family house but found it dark, hard to maintain and short of modern comforts. They wanted to keep its character while making it feel new.

Challenge

Renovation means working with what is already there. Old wiring, tired plumbing and earlier alterations had to be understood before any decisions were made, and parts of the structure needed strengthening without losing the original proportions.

Outcome

Our team surveyed and documented the house first, then drew a plan that kept the best of the original façade and reorganised the interiors around light and movement. Civil engineers strengthened the structure where needed; electrical and plumbing systems were replaced throughout. New interiors were designed to sit comfortably with the old. The family returned to a house that feels familiar, but works the way they live today. Work was phased room by room, and the team kept the owners informed at every stage with drawings and site visits, so there were no surprises at handover.
